MMR OUTBREAK

As we are sure you have seen in the news there is currently a higher level than usual of confirmed cases of measles.  Measles can cause you or your child to become extremely unwell.  We can stop you from contracting this disease by a simple vaccination.  Please call the practice to check whether you and your children are covered by this vaccination.

REPEAT DISPENSING

If you are on regular medication and your condition is stable, you may be eligible for our electronic repeat dispensing service.  Please contact reception if you would like some more information.

NEW COMMUNITY PHARMACY CONSULTATION SERVICE

Patients who contact the GP practice for advice on minor illnesses can now be referred to  a pharmacy of their choice for a consultation with the pharmacist.  The practice team will determine whether you are suitable for a referral by taking details of your symptoms.  If you are found to be suitable for a referral, you will be advised of local pharmacies close to you that are providing this service.  Once you have chosen your pharmacy, a referral will be sent via a secure electronic message.  You will then be contacted by the pharmacist within 4 hours.

PARKING

Please be aware that we are now operating a permit only parking service at the medical centre.  Please ensure that you register your car on arrival, failure to do so could mean a £100 fine.  We have had to take this action due to the amount of cars that are parking in our patients designated spaces meaning that there are not enough spaces for our patients.  If you have any questions about the services please speak to a member of the reception team who will be happy to help.

Welcome to Bryant Street Medical Centre

DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK WE HAVE SUSPENDED THE ONLINE BOOKING SERVICE FOR FACE TO FACE APPOINTMENTS FOR  THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. YOU MAY STILL BOOK A TELEPHONE CONSULTATION WITH A GP ON LINE, ALTERNATIVELY PLEASE CALL THE SURGERY FOR MORE ADVICE.

WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED.

Prescriptions

We are aware that there has been a problem with several patients not receiving there repeat prescriptions on time.  This is due to the increasing number of patients we have registering with us and the demand for prescriptions.  We have therefore decided to increase the turn around time for prescriptions and must now ask that you allow 72 hours for us to process your requests. This should enable us enough time to ensure that all prescriptions are processed on time.  If you have any queries with regard to this please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback at all times.  If you have any suggestions or comments to make regarding any aspect of the practice, please contact the practice manager who will be happy to listen to you.
