When We Are Closed

For urgent advice or to see a doctor out-of-hours and at weekends, please telephone 01634 848911 and the recorded message will advise you how to contact the out of hours service.

Out-of-hours cover is provided by Medocc, a local GP run co-operative service. This is available for urgent problems only.

When you need to see a doctor out-of-hours you will normally be expected to attend the Medocc base in Chatham Maritime Centre where they have equipment for tests and special treatment. Home visits will only be made by a doctor when the doctor decides you are too ill to travel.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
